We will release a new version of our c4D software soon
It has been some time since we released an updated version of our c4D software to the general SGRT market. However, this doesn’t imply that we haven’t been actively advancing over the past years. With the upcoming c4D version 6.5, we’re taking a significant leap, jumping over several major version iterations that were not widely distributed. This consolidation allows us to offer you a c4D release packed with numerous new features.
Focus on Varian
In c4D 6.5, we will focus on Varian-specific workflows and interoperability with Varian LINACs. Yet, it’s important to note that version 6.5 will also maintain compatibility with other LINAC vendors. With Catalyst+, you will be able to control Varians 6DoF treatment couches PerfectPitch™ (requires a dedicated license). Furthermore, both the Catalyst platform and the Catalyst+ platform will be compatible with TrueBeam v2.7MR4, v3.0 and v4.0, whereas even c4D 6.1.2SP1 will be compatible for downwards compatibility reasons.
New QA features
We improvised our QA applications and will introduce a complete new Routine QA procedure for calibrating the Catalyst family systems to the LINAC isocenter and coordinate system. These updates will bring about more transparent result presentations, configurable tolerances per room, automated system accuracy checks, and an extended timeframe for SRS treatments.
Full control, 6DoF tolerances
In patient setup, you’ll now have the flexibility to opt for automatic corrections on specific axes using cPosition. We’ve also refined the way isocenter corrections are presented.
Patient treatments will see a boost from our 6DoF tolerances in cMotion, allowing you to define tolerances for each axis alongside the previously recognized surface and vector tolerances.
Pre-defined Motion reference and the freedom of choice
We will introduce an alternative workflow for cMotion, where you can acquire and define a dedicated cMotion reference image, that will not be acquired daily but only when you need to update it. Furthermore, you will be able to import any structure from the structure set and use it for either cPosition or cMotion.
Planned Release
Keep an eye out for more details as we are currently targeting a software release date of September 2023. Stay tuned for our upcoming update seminars tailored for customers who are planning to upgrade their systems to c4D version 6.5.
